Caroline was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 13, 1937 to Earl and Esther (Paradies) Greve. She graduated from Watertown High School and married the love of her life, Melvin Kohlhoff, on June 18, 1955 at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. She remained a member of St. Mark's her entire life. Always sentimental, her favorite number was 18 after getting married at age 18 on the 18th of the month. Caroline was a pitcher for the Watertown lady's softball league, a bowler, a lifelong baseball fan, loved fishing along the Rock River and enjoyed playing card games with friends. Caroline was a talented cake decorator, providing hundreds of wedding cakes to local couples over the years. She shared her passion by teaching others how to decorate cakes as well. She worked at multiple restaurants and was also a "card lady" for Hallmark at local stores. Caroline had a green thumb, working as a florist for many years and she had a special spot in her heart for her large orchid collection. She was a lucky lady who enjoyed taking trips to the casino.

Caroline is survived by four children: Joyce Kohlhoff, Nancy (John) Abel, David (Christine) Kohlhoff and Donna (Bruce) Ortega; her eleven grandchildren, Julie (Austin) Lemke, Cindy (Derek) Schuett, Marianne (Matthew) Ebert, Heidi Jung, Heather (John) Walker, Holly (Chris) Koutsios, John Abel, Amanda (Matthew) James, Joshua (JiaJia) Kohlhoff, Christopher Ortega, Angela Ortega; nine great-grandchildren, Paige Lemke, Quinn Lemke, River Schuett, Christopher Koutsios, Cole Weihert, Ava-Lynn James, Alexander James, Olivia Kohlhoff, Abigail Kohlhoff; special friend Sarah Kottwitz, sister Eileen, cherished bird Tony, as well as other relatives and friends.

Caroline was preceded in death by her husband Melvin and her parents. Caroline was a lively, loving lady who touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.
