Caroline Shelton McKinney, 71, of Eubank, KY, formerly of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Kenwood Health and Rehab in Richmond, KY. Caroline was born in Stanford, KY on July 2, 1954 to the late George and Virginia Broughton Shelton. On October 30, 1976, she was married to her Husband, Hiram Edward McKinney. She worked for 21 years as a seamstress at Cowdens in Lancaster, KY, followed by several years in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn in Danville, KY. Caroline enjoyed being with her family that she loved so dearly. She truly found great pleasure in caring for many different animals. Her favorite all-time was "Chipper", her pet chipmunk. Caroline loved all her animals and spoiled each one of them. She loved cooking for family and friends, from fruit salad to Thanksgiving turkey.

Husband, Hiram Edward McKinney
Two Sisters,
Peggy Ann Shelton Martin
Cindy Lou (Donnie) Wallin
One Brother, Nelson (Barbara) Shelton
Four Nieces,
Carla, Amanda, Amber, and Ashley
Five Nephews,
Lowell, Keith, Clovet, Carry, and Jerry
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Shelton.
Funeral Date & Time: 12:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025
Place of Funeral: McKnight Funeral Home Chapel at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, KY 40419
Officiating Minister: Bro. Dan Gutenson
Place of Burial: Private Family Burial
Visitation will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home
Pallbearers Include: Lowell Martin, Terry Allen, Clovet Shelton, Carry McKinney, Jay Shelton, and Paul Shelton, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers Include: Tim McNew
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lincoln Co. Animal Shelter, at 102 East Main St., Stanford, KY 40484
