Caroline J. Price, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at the age of 77, at Communities of Wildwood. Born on January 15, 1948, in Joplin, Missouri, Caroline's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and unwavering faith.
Caroline spent her life dedicated to her role as a homemaker, a vocation she approached with grace and diligence. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through the many chapters of her life and inspiring those around her to embrace kindness and compassion. Her gentle spirit and loving nature were the hallmarks of her character, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by a loving family who were the center of her universe: daughters: Carla Bethel and husband Jerry of Alba, MO; Susan Wilson of Joplin, MO; sons, Jerry Lee Wilson, Jr. and wife Nancy of Purcell, MO; Brian Wilson and wife Cherri of Duenweg, MO; and Matthew Wilson and wife Tabitha of Joplin, MO. Caroline's legacy also lives on through her 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.
A faithful Christian, Caroline was actively involved in her church, Born Again Full Gospel in Webb City, where she formed many lasting friendships and contributed to various church activities. Her faith-filled life served as an inspiration to many, and her gentle guidance helped steer her family towards a path of love and righteousness.
Caroline will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was a living example of her favorite biblical verse, 1 Corinthians 13:13: "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." She embodied this scripture, showing love in every action and with every word she spoke.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry M. and Wilma (Clark) Allen; husband, Jimmy Price; two great-granddaughters, Kynzee and Laynee Norris; her brother, Robert Merriman.
Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parker Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Joplin. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
