Carolyn was called home Tuesday, December 14, 2023, at 2:35 pm in the comfort of her home and
family.
Born February 2, 1947, to Woodson Bob and Jennie Mae Webb. Carolyn, to all who knew her, was a
unique and caring person who touched the lives and hearts of everyone.
She married Paul Lawrence Jamerson, and they raised six loving children. She was a dedicated and
devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor.
She attended Johnson Elementary School and Cameron School obtaining her GED in the 11 th grade. She
began working in a nursing home and completed her CNA certification. In 1960, Carolyn was baptized at
Mt, Calvery Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie L. Richardson. She moved
her membership to New Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Harvey L. Butler, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodson Bob and Jennie Mae Webb; husband Paul
Jamerson; son Samuel Webb; brothers John Butler, Mack Butler, Harvey Butler, and James Webb; sister
Olivia Shelton.
She leaves to cherish daughters Shelia (Richard) Maxwell, Sheryl Webb, and Latonya Webb; sons
Nathaniel Webb and Paul (Angela) Webb; aunt Lea Ruth James; brothers Joseph (Emma) Webb Sr.,
Harold Webb and Daniel (Lisa) Webb; sisters Lady Butler and Elnora Bender; Grandchildren Samuel
“Rico” Tyson, Jatorey Gander, Jarrika Fite, Tia Webb, Jeremy Webb, Jermain Webb, Kaneshia Smith,
Janeshia Smith Nathaniel Webb Jr., Briana (Khiry) Hibbit, Triana Webb, Michael Brown, Malik Brown,
Paisley Webb, Paitlyn Webb, Lauren Webb. Bonus grandchildren Zay (April) Maxwell, Richard “Booney”
(Tareeka) Maxwell, Cornez “Nez” Maxwell, Reneiceua Maxwell, Daneisha Smith, Taneshia Smith, Melvin
(Tina) Guest, Philesha Jones, LaRosha Jones, Aris Jones, and Albert (Trey) Davis; 37 great-grandchildren;
2 great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Devoted nephew/niece
Harvey L. Butler, Jr. and Sarater McGavock. Special friends Tammy Tallent, Lisa Gutsy, Joe Ewing &
family, Scott & Hamilton family.
