Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11am at Williams Chapel Church in Spring Lake. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Spring Lake
She is survived by She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory:Children: Jena (Pastor David) Shipman, Jamita (Ronald) Davis, Cara-Lynn (Rick) Birts, and Jimmie Birts III
Grandchildren: Jaron Davis, Joshua Davis, Cailyn Birts, Kean Shipman, Janiya Birts, Jayshaun Birts, and Kashton Birts. Sisters: Althea (Malcolm) Wharton of Newport News, VA; Dr. Glenda (Jerome) Farmer of Fayetteville, NC; Pamela (Michael) Marks of Fayetteville, NC. Bonus son: Dwayne (Nya) Webb. She also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the funeral home from 5-7pm.

Carolyn and I worked together many years ago. She was so sweet and special and quietly hilarious. I am saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family.
