Carolyn Braswell, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on July 27, 1944, in
Hope, Arkansas, Carolyn's life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her family, her deep faith, and her generous spirit.
Carolyn's early years in Hope laid a strong foundation for the caring and family-oriented person she would become. She carried the warmth of her hometown throughout her life, creating a home where everyone felt welcome. Her love for cooking was not just a hobby but a way of bringing people together, and her meals were often accompanied by laughter and storytelling.
Carolyn was a constant presence in the lives of her children, Debbie Garner Park, Gary Garner and his wife Annette and her beloved Linda Garner Warman who went to be with the Lord in 2013, and is survived by her son-in-law, Rick Warman.
Her love multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild, Alexandra, Rachel, Caroline, Dylan, Michael, and Celeste, and she was overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to Messiah.
Carolyn's siblings, Johnny Byers and his wife Joann, and Jack Byers and his wife Mary, Mrs. Mary Byers, widow of her late brother Ray, along with a host of nieces and nephews, who all hold precious memories of their sweet Aunt Carolyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Braswell, daughter Linda Warman, her parents Oma and Johnie Byers, and her siblings Daly Byers, Ray Byers, Jeanette Allen, Sue Willis, Bill Byers, and Don Byers.
Her life was a testament to the values she held dear – love, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Carolyn's support and reliability were the cornerstones upon which her family relied. She lived a simple life, yet her impact on those around her was profound. Her love for going to church at Fellowship in Royse City, TX, was a reflection of her deep faith, which she lived out in her daily actions and the grace with which she treated others.
Carolyn's love for the holidays was infectious; she reveled in the joy and togetherness they brought. Her home was a sanctuary of celebration, filled with the aroma of her cooking. Her thoughtful nature made every occasion special and her love for her family was the greatest gift she gave.
In every sense of the words, Carolyn was loving, kind, and thoughtful. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Carolyn Braswell's memory will be cherished as a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived, filled with love and simple pleasures. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever be a guiding light to those she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00am Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Reflections-Rest Haven Rockwall.
