Carolyn June Brooks was born April 18, 1937 in Circleville to Orville and Amanda Cecil (Boyer) Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lester Brooks, brothers Orville, Bob, Ralph and Rick Jacobs. She is survived by her children Randy (Jodi), Dennis and Twana (Brian) Shade, grandchildren Jason, Tyler (Megan), Erica (Bob) Tucker, Tiffin (Mike) Barthelmas, Jeremy Dennis (Megan) Brooks and Megan Brooks, step grandchildren Ellen (JR) Schmidt and Jared Shade, great grandchildren Lyle, Trapper, MacKenzie and Campbell, Kieran, Rowan, Charlee, Eli, Claire, Michael, Taylor, Lilly, Maddie and Joey, great great grandchild Gary, sisters Louise Heartstedt of GA and Joyce (Mick) Dumm of Circleville, sisters-in-law Karen, Becky, Carol and Betty Jacobs. Carolyn was a Godly woman whose faith guided everything she did. She was the best noodle maker around, no one could ever quite match her homemade noodles or the love she stirred into them. She loved to be on the go, always busy, always doing something for someone else. You never left her house empty handed, whether it was a bag of food, a little treat, or something she picked up for you while out and about. Her grandkids were her pride and joy and she lit up whenever they were around. She had a heart of gold, a giving spirit and a smile that could brighten any day. She was truly one of a kind, beautiful inside and out and the love she shared will stay with us forever. Carolyn worked at Berger Hospital for 18 years as a nurses aide and retired from Kroger after 18 years. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Church and standing member of Emmanuel Methodist Church where she was very active. She met every Sunday at Goodwins with her friends and also to other local restaurants, she loved to shop, the Buckeyes and Pumpkin Show. Funeral service will be 10:00 Wednesday October 22, 2025 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7.
