JAMES BROOKS Obituary

born May 11, 1941 in Cambridge, Massachusetts and graduated from Wm. Tennent High School
class of 1959 in Warminster, Pa.. Jim worked in Avon at AL, LOU & JIMS A-1 Autoparts for several
years, and later was the owner operator of Stella's Restaurant in Avon Lake. He enjoyed dirt track
racing and riding Harley's. Jim was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by 1 son: Bradley(Andrea)Busch, 1 daughter; Georgeann(Mark)Emmons, sister;
Betty(Ronald)Graver and ex-wife Willa DeSmit. Jim was preceded in death by 2 children; Geoffrey
Busch & Elizabeth Busch, 1st wife; LaVerne(nee-Sanderson)Brooks and parents; James & Mary
(nee-Graham)Brooks.
The family will receive friends on Friday October 24th,2025 from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the MISENCIK
FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 7:00pm with
pastor Micah Holland officiating. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025 at
10:30am in New Highland Cemetery in Ipswich, Mass.
