Brian E. Resar, age 51, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 6, 2025. Brian was born June 22, 1974, in Fairview, OH to Frank and Kathie Resar.
Brian graduated from Avon High School in 1992 where he golfed and played basketball. After this, he attended Bowling Green State University. The majority of Brian's career was spent building custom homes with his dad, and later on his own. He had a passion for creativity, not only in his career, but through his hobbies, as well. Throughout his life, Brian was known for his ability to design and build whatever his imagination could come up with.

Brian will be remembered for his sense of humor, his fun-loving spirit, and the immense care he had for others. He put his family and friends at the center of his life and was known to light up any room he was in. Brian always put others before himself, making sure to put a smile on anyone's face that he could. To know Brian was truly to love him.

Brian loved anything and everything related to the water. From a young age, he spent his time on boats; fishing, waterskiing, and exploring hidden gems across Lake Erie. Some of the best memories of his life and those who knew him took place at Kelleys Island or Put-in-Bay. Brian loved adventure, and he made it his goal to see many places throughout his life with family and friends. Brian's daughter could always count on him to plan a memorable weekend getaway.

He was a collector of trains, a hobby he shared with his father. Brian had an affinity for remote-controlled cars, Legos, and many other things.

Brian is survived by his daughter, August Resar; parents, Frank and Kathie (nee Cass) Resar; brother, Terry (Ashley) Resar; nephews, Max, Tripp, and Jet Resar, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

All services will be private. Arrangements handled by the Misencik Funeral Home in Avon.

Brian will always be one of my favorite people. I will miss our conversations about political and world events! Brian loved this country and was fiercely protective of his family! He was truly one of the nicest, most decent people, I´ve had the opportunity to meet! What started as a working relationship turned into a friendship that I will always cherish. RIP my friend.

I´m met Brian around three years ago, never thinking that I would find a best friend. I actually felt like I knew Brian on my life. I will miss him tremendously. We talked a great deal about many things, things that we were both very passionate on, seriously I will miss those conversations. The World just lost one of the good guys. The photo with me and Brian was the last time that we were together, he invited me to an Indians game that I´ll never forget because I was there with my best friend. Peace be with your family, I will be praying for them.
