Carolyn Delores Browning

Delores Cox Browning, 87, of Burlington, NC passed away at her residence on Friday, March 27, 2026.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jerry Clifton Browning and the daughter of Zebulon Craig Cox, Sr. and Josephine Smith Cox, both deceased. She retired from Cox Toyota working in the general office area as a title clerk. She was a former member and past president of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Burlington Police Department.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Mark Browning of Burlington and two brothers, Z. Craig Cox, Jr. and Charles Michael Cox, Sr., both of Haw River. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lynn Browning and wife Sherry and a brother, Don L. Cox.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 12:00 noon by Pastor Wade Cox with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
