Carolyn Gail Knight Denton, 60, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center Gilmore in Amory. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 1, 1965 to the late James and Janet Bates Knight. Carolyn moved to Aberdeen in the 6th grade and resided there until her death. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking pictures, scrap booking and researching family genealogy. She looked forward to getting pictures of all of her grandchildren and spending time with them.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Rachel Ivy (John), Hamilton; sons, James Denton (Jennifer), Aberdeen and Michael Denton (Rosanna), Aberdeen; sister, Tina Edmonds, Aberdeen; grandchildren, Kurt, Dylan, Thomas, Izzy, Abby, Gabby and John Walter; great grandchildren, Swayze Ivy, Isaiah Denton and Beau Denton;; niece, Nicole Hale (Doug); nephew, Wesley Edmonds (Tara).
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held later.
