Carolyn Y. Downs

Funeral services for Carolyn Y. Downs will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Carolyn was born September 21, 1949, in Laurel, Mississippi and entered into rest July 12, 2024, in Homer, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Downs, Infant son, parents, grandson, Nathan Moseley, brothers, Johnny Ray Young and Tommy Young, sisters Opel, Eloise, and Willie Young, brother-in-law, Doug Talley son-in-law, David Moseley and stepdaughter, Peggy Downs.

She is survived by her children, Annette Hammons (Mike) of Emerson, Arkansas and Travis D. Gray, Jr. (Karamie) of Princeton; stepchildren, Jimmy Downs (Gail) of Minden and Terry Downs (Cindy) of Natchitoches; grandchildren, Natalie Moseley (Tyler) of Haynesville, Travis D. Gray III and Claudia N. Gray of Princeton, Jonathon Downs (Carla) of Minden, Jeffery Downs (Anna) of Tyler, Alex Downs, Andrew Downs, and Jennifer Martin; great grandchildren, Logan Downs and Winnie Downs; sibling, Eretta Talley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Travis Gray III, Tyler Garrett, Jonathan Downs, Jeffery Downs, Doug Talley, and Woody O’Neal.

Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Young.
