Funeral services celebrating the life of Geraldine Peevy will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at City On A Hill Pentecostal Church in Minden, Louisiana with officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Geraldine was born June 1, 1941, in Germantown Colony, Louisiana and went to her heavenly home on February 20, 2026, in Minden, Louisiana. Geraldine was a faithful member of City On A Hill Pentecostal Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a retired school bus driver for the Webster Parish School Board. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Geraldine’s greatest pleasures were her grand and great grandchildren, her flowers, working in her yard, and cooking and making sure everyone had plenty to eat. She loved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Frank and Vallie Kellogg Chanler; brothers Bill Chanler, Vernon Chanler, Doyle Chanler, and Hoyle Chanler; sisters, Lillie Gavoni, Grace Patterson, Doris Martin, Mary Roberts, and Justine McCoy; and grandson, Peyton Peevy.
She is survived by her husband L.C. Peevy, Jr.; son, Brad Peevy (Angela); daughter, Renee Reeves (Billy); grandchildren, Blake Reeves (Alicia), Brent Reeves, and Cody Peevy; great grandchildren, Logan (Brianna), Aiden, Kanon, Jolan, Ayla, Ethan, Tegan, Amelia, Eisen, Talon and Owen Reeves, Piper, Paisley, and August Peevy; and great great- grandchild, Kohan Reeves.
