Carolyn Louise Erwin Jessie

Mrs. Carolyn Louise Erwin Jessie, age 77, of Dupont, Indiana entered this life on February 21, 1946, in Columbus, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Margaret Louise Hopkins Erwin. She married her love Randall Jessie on February 12, 1983, this happy union of 40 years blended their two families together. She grew up in Elizabethtown, Indiana, and moved to Dupont in 1993. Carloyn was a woman who deeply loved the Lord, her family, and others. She never knew a stranger and made friends with everyone she met and in turn everyone that met her loved her. She worked several jobs throughout her life, but the most important and endearing was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her days loving and serving her husband, children, and grandchildren. She always ensured that every child in her presence was loved, fed, safe, healthy, and happy. She loved to read the Bible to her grandchildren and made sure each could recite the Lord's prayer. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, painting, coloring, and crafting. A LOVING FAMILY
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 40 years, Randall Jessie of Dupont, Indiana; her sons, Orville Eugene "Gene" Engle of Dupont, Indiana, and William Douglas "Doug" Crisman of Dupont, Indiana; her daughter, Tamara Lee "Tammy" Poynter of North Vernon, Indiana; her step son, Bobby Dale Jessie; her step daughter, Lisa Jo Jessie; her 12 grandchildren Joey, William (Brittany), Tricia, Megan (Alex), Joel (Samantha), Sarah, Jesslynn (Amber), Danielle, Bobby, Blake, Chelsea, and Joshua, and 26 great-grandchildren; her brother, Rick Erwin of Madison, Indiana; her sister-in-law, Patricia Erwin; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Jefferson Erwin; her mother, Margaret Louise Hopkins Erwin; her brothers, Danny Erwin and Billie Erwin; and her sisters-in-law, Carla Erwin and Lana Erwin.
MEMORIAL CEREMONY
Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, December 19, at 5 p.m. by pastor Don Hadley at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
