Mrs. Carolyn (Farmer) Smith, age 80 of Riverside, OH, formerly of LaFollette, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. She dearly loved her church, Miami Shores Baptist Church and faithfully devoted her time to the church card ministry for many years. Carolyn was formerly employed with Van Dyne Crotty for 30 years, and was an avid flower gardener. She is preceded in death by Parents, Jefferson Davis Farmer and Jean (Ivey) Farmer, Sisters, Effie Lee Jones and Wanda Cooper, Brothers, Earl Farmer, Archie Farmer, and an Infant, J.D. Farmer.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph Walter Smith; Son, Joseph Mark Smith; Sisters, Eva Brown and Mary Cooper; Brothers, Robert Farmer and Kenneth Farmer and wife, Shenia; Special Nephews, Howard King and wife, Debbie, and Harold King and wife, Kay. Several other Nieces, Nephews, church family, and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Doug Server and her nephew, Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Campbell Memorial Gardens. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Carolyn (Farmer) Smith.
