Carolyn Jo Fielder, 82, of Winfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Born on August 22, 1943, in Portageville, Missouri, she was the daughter of John and Jossie Elam. Carolyn grew up in Gideon, Missouri, where she met her true love, Donald Fielder, at church. From their very first meeting, she knew he was the one. On December 15, 1960, they were married in New Madrid, Missouri, beginning a life filled with love and devotion. Soon after, they moved to St. Louis before settling in Winfield, Missouri, where Carolyn lived for 48 years.

A compassionate and dedicated nurse, Carolyn spent much of her life caring for others. She began her career as a nurse's assistant and later went on to become a registered nurse after attending college. Carolyn found her calling working with the elderly, where she served as a supervisor in long-term care facilities. Her final position was at St. Mary's in O'Fallon, where she took great joy in caring for the nuns. She often spoke of how blessed she felt by them, and this role was by far the most rewarding of her career.

Carolyn was a beloved mother, grandmother (Granny), and friend. She treasured her family above all else and was always there to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand. She shared many special moments with her sister, Patsy Wallace, who lives in Michigan, and their long visits were a highlight of Carolyn's life. She had a deep love for nature, enjoying the simple pleasures of watching birds at her feeder, tending to her flowers, and receiving her daily mail. Her passion for The Young and the Restless will also be fondly remembered, as she was a loyal viewer for 52 years.

Carolyn is survived by her two children: Donald Fielder, Jr. of Winfield, MO, and Melisa Fielder Biship and husband Jeff Biship of Troy, MO; her four grandchildren: Erica Spence and her dear friend Jake, Burl Fielder, Jessica McCrackin and her husband Matt, and Donald Fielder III and his wife Jenny; and her great-grandchildren: Emery, Tempe, Donald IV, Daniel, Crimson, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 1005 S. Madison, Malden, MO 63863, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO.
