Funeral services for Carolyn Jean Maples Foreman will be held at Crossbridge Church on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10AM with Pastor Renaldo Opperman and Bro. Matthew Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Cemetery in Manifest, La, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Crossbridge Church on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 6pm until 8 pm.
Carolyn was called home to be with the Lord the morning of January 5, 2026. She lived for 79 years. She was born in
Monroe, LA on May 27, 1946, spent her childhood in
Pollock, LA, and lived her adult life in Clayton and
Ferriday, LA. She graduated from Pollock High School and received a Business Certificate from Louisiana Technical College.
Carolyn's gift for guidance and inspiration touched the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless others seeking direction. She created an environment of open communication and unconditional support, empowering her children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams and keep their faith while always being present to offer wisdom and encouragement. She instilled her strong values and religious beliefs in her family. Her home was a haven of prayer and support. Carolyn led by example, attending church every Sunday at Crossbridge Church of God until she could no longer make the trip and holding strong to her faith through all adversities in her life.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Angela Pody (Chad) of Ruston, La and Kim Tarver (John) of
Ferriday, La; brother, Gary "Boo" Terral of
Pollock, La; sister, Betty Jones of Lecompte, La; sister, Rita Terral of Ball, La; grandchildren: Natali Grantham (Jason), Kelsi Doughty (Austin), Anna Pody, and Garrett Pody; great-grandchildren: Kami Grantham, John Bradley "JB" Tarver, and Nora Grantham; as well as a host of nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
She is reunited with her first husband and the love of her life, Irvin "Buck" Maples; second husband, Arnold "Ernie" Foreman; parents, Johnnie Ray and Mona Brooks Terral; and infant son.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Tarver, Chad Pody, Garrett Pody, Jason Grantham, Austin Doughty, and Justin McCarty.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary "Boo" Terral, JB Tarver, and Nora Grantham.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Unbridled Love, A Lilly-Anne Bryan Foundation at Delta Bank.
Special thanks to the private sitters, Camelot staff, and Enhabit Hospice (Ashton) for taking such wonderful care of our MeMe in her final months.
