Carolyn W. Harral, 80, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1944, to Sug and Lola Lee (Young) Williams in Plainview, Texas.
Carolyn married the love of her life Jerry Pat Harral in Amarillo, Texas, on September 6, 1997. Because family was so important to both of them, it became the center of their relationship. Carolyn, or Meme as she was called by her grandchildren, loved Pat and her family more than anything and dedicated her life to taking care of them. A tender, caring person, Carolyn was also funny and had a wonderful sense of humor. Though small in stature, she showed toughness and grit in life by staring down challenges and tragedies with a strength many admired.
Carolyn had a long career as a hairstylist that culminated in owning and operating her salon, Salon 2900, in Amarillo for twenty-five years. Her artistic ability was not only shown in her career as a stylist, Carolyn also liked to paint. Carolyn loved music, especially her favorite artist Celine Dion. In her downtime, she would watch her three favorite TV shows: Reba, Little House on the Prairie, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Sug and Lola Williams, her son Nish Miles Nishiyama, and several of her siblings.
She is survived by her husband Pat, daughters Nasha Weatherly and Patti Harral, son Tony Harral (Terri), grandchildren Darrien Gonzalez (fiancé Jade Perriman), Jaylen Miller, Lauren Harral (Jacob Oberrender), Cody Harral (fiancé Marial Kalina), and great-grandchildren Knox Gonzalez and Oakley Miller. She is also survived by her sisters Bettey Tiffey and Tootsie Kimberling, sister-in-law Jenny Egan, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas, with Mike Camp officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice or your favorite charity in her honor.
The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice and its staff, especially Kelsey, Kim and Monica and also Dr. Viki Forlano and staff for the tender care of Meme. The family also wishes to thank Principal Kay Scott and the staff of Santa Rita Elementary School.
