Carolyn “Joanne” Davis Jamison, A native of Funston, GA, Joanne was born to Frances Willene Allegood Pinney and Cal Lee “CL” Davis Jr. In her early years, Joanne worked for Sears and Roebuck Co. where she met her husband of 47 years, Alan V. Jamison. She spent several years as a housewife and later worked for and became the owner of Albany Lighting & Appliance Center from 1986 until 2012.
Outside of Joanne’s work, she took an active role in the community through her association with the Albany Chapter #65 of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). In her spare time, she enjoyed activities with her husband through the Elks Lodge #713 and the Corvette Club of Albany. She found joy in searching for lost treasures with family and friends searching and researching old bottles and unique jewelry. You could often find her wandering around old thrift stores or sitting behind a slot machine or two.
Her life had a profound impact on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
She is survived by her children, Dana (Jeff) Davis of Lee County, GA, Wendy (Bailey) Morgan of Nashville, GA, Mandy (Larry) Bullington of Crisp County, GA, Roy "Beau" Jamison (Corina Cason) of Virginia Beach, VA, five grandchildren, Kayla Deck of Lee County, GA, Christopher Jamison of Waynesboro, VA, Garrett (Alana) Bullington of Moultrie, GA, Danielle (Brandon) Conard of Lee County, GA and Anna Bullington (Chandler McDonald) of Sylvester, GA, four great-grandchildren, Brody Taylor, Ava Jamison, Charlie Conard and Carson Bullington, mother, Frances Willene Allegood Pinney, siblings Linda Faye Owen of Waxhaw, NC and Carl “Sonny” (Gerri Lynn) Davis of Terrell County, GA and several nieces and nephews.
