Carolyn Kosier

Carolyn Kosier, age 96, of Knoxville passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born August 23, 1929, in Knoxville, the 7th of 8 children. She graduated from Rule High School in 1949. She was deeply committed to her family, whom she raised with her husband, Marvin, in the Rocky Hill community. Carolyn was a lifelong member of Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church. She was a faithful servant, well known for her warmth, generosity, joy, and love of life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Q. Kosier; parents, Floyd B. Jones and Anna Lee Fain Jones; brothers, Floyd Jones Jr., Willard Jones, and Marvin Jones; and sisters, Elizabeth Tate and Katherine Wohlford. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Leisa) Kosier and Douglas (Leslie) Kosier; grandchildren, Matthew (Madison) Kosier, Curtis (Alyssa) Kosier, Jonathan (Liza) Kosier, and Christina (Carlos) Texeira; and sisters, Geraldine Chambers and Bernice Beets.

Pallbearers are Matthew Kosier, Curtis Kosier, Jonathan Kosier, Christina Texeira, Carlos Texeira, and Greg Chambers.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at Rose-Mann Funeral Home with a service following. Family and friends will gather at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at Highland Memorial Cemetery for a graveside service.
