Mrs. Carolyn Louise Lexia, 68, passed away to go home to be with her Lord on October 31, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born on October 15, 1957, in Flora the daughter of Rosie Moss and the late James Walter Edwards, Sr. She grew up in Flora and attended Canton High School. After graduation, she got married and had two girls and two boys. She was a self-employed caterer that specialized in baking. To know Mrs. Carolyn was to love her. She had an infectious smile that was contagious and would light up a room. Her personality never allowed her to meet a stranger. She was a wonderful and loving mother and friend that had a heart of gold. She loved to dance and could often be found at events that allowed her to "cut a rug." She grew up with three sisters and three brothers. In addition to her father, James Walter Edwards, Sr., she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Lewis Denton, Jr., of Okolona; her sisters, Shirley Edwards of Canton and Mary Patrick of Magee; and her brothers, James Thomas Edwards of Flora and Robert Edwards of California.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
