On Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 beloved Carolyn “June” Haverstick Lich of Dandridge, Tennessee, daughter of the late James and Betty Haverstick (Gatlinburg, Tennessee), went to be with the Lord peacefully, with her son Todd Lich by her side.

June was born March 21st, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up there, graduating from Howe High School. She then moved to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to help at her parent’s BBQ restaurant, Jim’s Rib house. After marrying the love of her life, James “Jim” Thomas Lich, they had 2 children, Theresa “Terry” June Lich (deceased) and James “Todd” Lich. The family moved around before she finally laid roots again at her beautiful lake house in Dandridge, Tennessee in 1988. June worked as a radiology technician at Tennessee Breast Center in Maryville, Tennessee up until the age of almost 90, making a huge difference in the lives of countless women. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, walking every day, lake life, RVing with her sisters, doting on her Pomeranians, church activities and family time. June is preceded in death by her husband, Jim and daughter, Terry Lich. She is survived by her loving sisters, Phyllis Ann Haverstick Harrison (Noblesville, Indiana) and Sandra “Sandie” Kay Haverstick Fancher and husband Don (Gainesville, Georgia), son Todd Lich and wife Stacy, grandson and wife Eric and Brooke Lich (Knoxville, Tennessee). Funeral mass will be, Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jefferson City, 475 N. Highway 92, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Interment at Smokey Mountain Memory Gardens in Pigeon Forge, TN following the funeral mass.

June was a devoted mother, sister, workmate and friend and incredible woman who lived life to the fullest. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Carolina Moon was her daddy’s favorite song, thus her name Carolyn.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or Jefferson County Humane Society, PO Box 653, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
