Carolyn Sue Gault Hill McMaster departed this world for her heavenly home on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Following graduation, Carolyn married and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where she made her home for forty-three years. During her time in Texas, she held various positions before beginning a long and accomplished career in the oil and gas industry. She first worked in a stock brokerage office, managing the “cage,” the area responsible for processing transactions after brokers completed business with their clients. She later joined Thos. Y. Pickett & Company, where she maintained ownership records for mineral interests in several South Texas counties.
Carolyn went on to become a Registered Professional Appraiser, evaluating and appraising oil and gas properties, establishing values, and working closely with companies, operators, and taxing jurisdictions across the region. Her dedication and professionalism earned her great respect throughout her career.
After retirement, Carolyn returned to Jacksonville to be closer to family. She became an active member of the First United Methodist Church and volunteered for many years with the Jacksonville Police Department through the Citizens Police Academy. Later in life, she moved to Weatherford, Texas, to be near her son and eventually made her home on his ranch.
Known by her kids as MaSue, she is survived by her beloved son, Keith L. (Jackie) Hill; her equally loved and adored grandchildren, Nicholas (Jenessa) Hill, Stephen Hill, and Stephanie Hill; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Landry, and Micah Hill, and HazylMae and Lukah Dunham; along with nieces and a nephew who loved her dearly.
Though no services are scheduled at this time, she will be remembered for her strength and devotion to her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church or to the Jacksonville Police Dept., Arkansas.
