  Born March 2, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, to Alonzo Troy Blann and Dorothy (Downs) Williams, Lonnie Dale Welch passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas, at age 83. Lonnie lived a life marked by love and devotion. She was married to Robert Welch for over 57 years, together creating a home filled with warmth and laughter. 

  A gifted musician, Lonnie joyfully served as a church pianist for more than 40 years. Her music was an expression of her deep faith, inspiring worship and touching countless hearts. Lonnie’s commitment to the Lord extended beyond music; she was a devoted member of her church - Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas, consistently engaging in Bible study and nurturing her spiritual growth. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and painted her existence with purpose and joy. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Welch; mother, Dorothy M. Williams; brother, Troy Blann, Jr.; sister, Janice Sutton; brother-in-law, Don Sutton; and great-niece, Debi Sutton. 

  Lonnie is survived by her niece, Christy Williams (Ron); nephews, Randy Sutton (Sue) and Scott Sutton (Julie); niece, Sherri Hoffman (Lee); and several great-nieces and nephews who will always cherish her love and gentle spirit. 

  Her legacy of faith and music will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. 

  A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76134.
