Carolyn Newman Obituary

Carolyn was born July 27, 1933 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank Cooper, and Britain Odell (Dillow) Cooper. On August 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Richard Dale Newman who preceded her in death on February 18, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Michael (Linda) Newman, and Patrick Dale (Tina) Newman; two daughters, Barbara Newman, and Jennifer (John Pherson) Newman; six grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Cathy) Cooper; and a sister, Wanda Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Wayne, Phillip, and Gerald Cooper; a sister, Loretta Cunningham; and a grandson, Scott Newman.
Carolyn was a homemaker, and a member of Waverly First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road. Burial will immediately follow services.
