Carolyn Risner

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Risner, age 72, of Collinwood, TN, who departed this life on March 3, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1953, to the late Charles Edgar and Mamie Lorene Lockard Risner, 

Carolyn was a shining example of resilience and dedication throughout her life. For many years, Carolyn contributed her hard work and spirit as a factory worker at Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Beyond her career, she was a cherished sister and aunt, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. 

Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her brother, Gerald Samuel Risner, of Collinwood, TN, her sister, Gilda Staggs, of Lawrenceburg, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Carolyn’s journey was not without its heartaches. In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by her baby, Tanya Carol; her brothers, Phillip Douglas Risner and Justin Lyle Risner; and her sister, Trudy Dicus. 

As we remember Carolyn, let us celebrate her life filled with love, hard work, and cherished memories. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery.
