Carolyn Sue Sinks of Augusta, GA passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Carolyn was born May 18, 1941 in Jefferson County, Illinois and was the daughter of the late William Vacie and Evelyn May Hall. She was married to Fred Sinks and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2021.
Surviving family members include her two sons: Steven Sinks and Ronald Sinks (Sheila); grandchildren: Bridgetté Rodgers (Jeremy) and Sabrina Choat; great grandchildren: Chanden, Scarlett. Gerett, Kobé, and Briseis; great-great granddaughter: Emi; and two brothers and five sisters.
Carolyn was a Navy wife raising her two sons. She enjoyed crocheting Afghans, sewing and watching old westerns. She also enjoyed working on word searches. Carolyn and her husband were members of the VFW where they did volunteer work for veterans. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
A private graveside service will be held in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
