Carolyn St. Jean Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Quinn Funeral Home - Warwick on Feb. 14, 2026.
Carolyn M. St. Jean, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph St. Jean, with whom she shared 47 beautiful years of marriage. Born in Providence, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late J. Carroll and Frances (Jendzejec) Andrews.
Carolyn was a loving and devoted mother to Stephen St. Jean and his wife Susan of Southbury, CT, Frances Asels and her husband Robert of Warwick, Karen Venkat and her husband Ash of Warwick, and Kevin St. Jean and his wife Linda of Coventry. She was the adoring grandmother of Alicia Donovan Brainerd, David St. Jean, Jennifer Lindell, Laura White, Kyle St. Jean, Kristen St. Jean, Michelle McCabe, and Matthew St. Jean, and the cherished great-grandmother of Aubrey Lindell, Caleigh Lindell, Ayden St. Jean, Asher St. Jean, Callum White, Henry McCabe, and Charlotte St. Jean. She is also survived by her brothers, Joseph and Robert Andrews. Carolyn was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Smith.
Growing up in Warwick, the Buttonwoods neighborhood always held a special place in Carolyn's heart. After marrying the love of her life, Joseph, in 1954, they raised their family in Coventry but remained closely connected to Buttonwoods. For many years, they spent summers at Buttonwoods Beach with their children, eventually building their retirement home there in the early 1990s. It was in Buttonwoods that Carolyn shared her deep love for the beach and the ocean with her children, grandchildren, and later her great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories that would last for generations.
A master pianist, Carolyn began studying piano at the age of five and carried her passion for music throughout her life. She joyfully shared this gift with her family, inspiring a love of music that now spans four generations. Carolyn also had a lifelong love of dogs, beginning with her childhood family dog, Lucky, and lovingly welcomed all of her children's and grandchildren's dogs into her home.
Above all, Carolyn cherished her family. No matter how many people were in the room, she had a special way of making each person feel like the most important, offering her full attention, warmth, and kindness.
