She was the beloved wife of John Bernard; devoted mother of Christine Aiello (Stephen), Patricia Chiarella (Victor), Jacqueline Bernard, and Michelle Burgher (James). She was a proud and loving mom-mom to Stephen, Kimberly, Frank, Anthony, Patrick, Andrew, and Jessica, and the cherished sister of the late Frank Whalen.
Carolyn devoted her life to building a warm and loving home for her family. She worked with care and compassion as a Bus Aide for special needs children at Philadelphia Academy Carter School. She was the life of the party. Carolyn had a joyful spirit and love for life. She especially adored her loyal dog, Charlie.
Family and friends are invited to Carolyn's Life Celebration on Friday, September 19, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to The National Greyhound Adoption Program at ngap.org
