Carolynn Yvonne Scott
September 12th-1944 - September 14th 2021
Carolynn Yvonne Scott unexpectedly left for Heaven on September 14th, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Warren and Mildred Tinker, Husband Roger P. Scott, Cousin Donald L. Barber and lifelong friend Roberta Bush.
She is survived by her brother Dennis E. Tinker, Charlene Fiorelli, Sister-in-law Rebecca A. Tinker, Goddaughter and Niece Niccole M. Nickelsen, Bill Semko, Niece Heather L. Webster, Mark Webster. Great Nieces, Lexus C. Armstrong and Daycee M. Nickelsen, and cousin Cindy Finan. She is also survived by lifelong friends Patty and Biggert and their families.
Carolynn will be remembered as a loving and joyful soul that bound her family together through Chicken and Rigatone',(Yes,that's how she said it, so that's how we spell it), NY Giants football, macaroni salad, hot tea and late night chats. She owned a laugh that I hope we'll never un-hear. She loved us fiercely, loyally, and forgivingly for 77 years.
Sometimes God sends us someone so special and words just won't serve as an understanding. Carolynn, or Cakie to her family, was that someone. Without children of her own she made Niccole and Heather her children, spoiled them rotten, and convinced each of them they were her favorite. An argument they'll enjoy for life. Then when the girls came along she did it all over again.
When it came to Beck' that was her sister. The in-law part was nonsense to her. And we all knew her brother was her World, the Sun and the Stars.
And the Moon? Well, she always said it was ours, to do with what we wish. So I guess it's time for us to place you in it then Cakie, along with all of our other dreams, so we can still say goodnight.
Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Services in Whitney Point, N.Y. on September 25th, from 11:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M.
