Carri Schuyler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory - Lynnhaven Chapel on Apr. 8, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carri Ann Schuyler, 54, who left us far too soon on April 1, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Patricia and William MacDonald, Carri spent her early years in Wisconsin, where she became a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. After moving to Virginia Beach, she met the love of her life, Andrew Schuyler, and together they created a beautiful family, raising three wonderful sons: Alek (with his fiancée Chloe), Philip, and Joshua.
Carri's love for her family was boundless. She is survived by her devoted husband, three cherished sons, and siblings Scott (wife Karen), Joanie, Greg, and Adam. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, lifelong friends, and neighbors, all of whom she considered family. Her loss has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
A true reflection of warmth and generosity, Carri was known for her love of cooking. She had an extraordinary gift for making delicious meals that always seemed to have enough to feed an army; her home was always open, and no one ever left hungry. Whether she was sharing a meal, enjoying a sunset on the beach, or fishing with her boys on the boat, Carri's spirit was one of joy, laughter, and adventure.
Her life was a beautiful example of love, devotion, and kindness. She embraced every moment, creating lasting memories with her family and friends. Though she may no longer walk among us, the love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in our hearts.
A service to celebrate Carri's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. A reception will follow at the Schuyler home, 3021 Bray Rd, at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or through plasma donations, two causes close to Carri's heart. Whenever she received either she always thanked the donor.
Carri will be deeply missed, but her love, warmth, and laughter will continue to live on in all of us.
