Carrie Lee Brown Fernandez was born on January 26, 1955 in Paincourtville, La. She departed this life on December 3, 2024. Carrie was the daughter of Susan Benjamin Brown and the Late Rev. Earl Brown. Carrie married Ronald Fernandez, Sr.
Carrie was a dedicated and caring individual. She devoted much of her life to her family and community. She was a beloved caregiver who touched the lives of many with her nurturing heart. Whether caring for children, elderly relatives or friends in need, Carrie's spirit and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Ronald Fernandez, Jr. (Dellina) and Victoria Fernandez Bell (Kendall); four grandchildren Raniya and Ramaun Fernandez, Jalyn and Bryce Bell; three sisters Angela Jefferson, Sheryl Brown, and Linda Hill (Harvey); five brothers Edward Brown, Douglas Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Sr., Michael Brown (Kathy), and Raymond Brown; sister in law Carolyn Brown; two aunts, Elouise Lazarde(Stevie) and Mary Louise Cunnikin; uncles Vernell Brown, Sr., Junious Brown, and Charles Ratcliff; three God children Marseyas Fernandez, James Fernandez III, and Briana Fernandez Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Carrie was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Earl Brown, Jr., three brothers Darryl Brown Sr., Willie Brown, Sr. (Rose) and Gregory Brown Sr.; maternal grandparents McKinley Benjamin and Moesa Gertrude Benjamin; paternal grandparents Earl Brown, Sr. and Angnetta Brown; father in law James Fernandez, Sr. (Adele); and brothers in law Donald Jefferson and James Fernandez, Jr.
