Carrie Schultz O'Sullivan, known to family and friends as Carlene growing up, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on December, 15th, 2025. Born Carrie Helene Schultz on January 14, 1949, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Robert Schultz of Shamokin, PA, and Elizabeth Lewis of Hazelton, PA, she carried the warmth and joy of those early days, often sharing tales of running through corn fields to visit her grandmother, throughout her entire life.

Carrie's journey took her from Lancaster to Plainfield, New Jersey, where she graduated from Plainfield High School. She went on to Butler University in Indianapolis, where she became a lifelong and devoted fan of Butler Basketball. It was also at Butler where she formed bonds with three sorority sisters that would last a lifetime—friendships that remained strong until her final days.

Like her parents, Carrie was a passionate supporter of West Point and Army Football, carrying on a family tradition with pride. Her professional life included years at Morris County Savings Bank and working alongside her husband, Andy, in Flemington, NJ, where they lived on the “Daisey a Day Farm” together. But her true calling came when she became owner and innkeeper at the Victorian Lace Inn in Cape May. There, her gift for connecting with people flourished. She didn't just welcome guests, she made friends who remained in her life long after they'd checked out.

In retirement, Carrie and Andy spent their years first in Florida, where they enjoyed time out on their boat, and then in Lexington, Virginia, where they fell in love with the history, nature, and people. In her final years in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Carrie continued doing what she did best: building deep, meaningful friendships and cherishing time with family. She loved to travel and watch sports, loved the holidays and having family together, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and football. Her grandchildren and great-grandchild were her pride and joy, and she was never happier than when surrounded by them.

Carrie is survived by her son, Rob, and his wife Lorie Kmetz; stepchildren, Brian, Karen and her husband, Brian Shevitz, and Kevin and his wife, Kate O'Sullivan; her grandchildren, Hannah and her husband, Mike Murphy, Maggie O'Sullivan, Hailey, Claudia, and Addie Shevitz; Charlie, Chase, Van, and Hudson O'Sullivan; and her great-grandson, Nolan Murphy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew O'Sullivan, and her stepdaughter, Lorraine O'Sullivan.
