WINTERVILLE-
Carrie Lou Grizzle Robinson (99) passed away on December 12, 2025.
She was born to the late Raleigh and Annie Moose Grizzle on June 7, 1926. She was preceded in death by her siblings Edgar Grizzle, Charlie Grizzle, Paul Grizzle, Larry Grizzle, Ella Mae (Ellie) Calhoun, and Bertha Gooch. She is survived by one sibling, Nellie Ruth (Nell) Simmons.
She is also survived by one son, Lanny Robinson (Susan); two grandsons, Seth (Morgan), and Joshua (Corie); and four great-grandchildren, Carson, Tatum, Harris, and Crew.
Carrie was raised in Lumpkin County, Georgia and was married to Dock Robinson for thirty-seven years. They made a job-related move to Athens where they began a mobile home rental business. She was also a beautician for over forty years and owned a successful business known as Carrie’s Beauty Shop. Carrie made many life-long friends who frequented her shop.
Carrie had a kind, spirit-filled, and loving heart and helped others many times when seeing they were in need. She was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Winterville First Baptist Church.
She would say her faith in God and its resulting salvation were her greatest and most valued life achievements. The joy and love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her many smiles and fun times.
The family would like to thank the staff of Quiet Oaks Healthcare for the love and care given to Ms. Carrie, as she was fondly known.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quiet Oaks Healthcare for the direct support and benefit of their residents (125 Quiet Oaks Dr, Crawford, GA).
