Carrie M. Rush, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Born on November 2, 1935, in Autaugaville, Alabama, Carrie was the beloved daughter of the late Calib and Willie Law. She received her early education at Chilton County Training School in Clanton, Alabama. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Wiley Rush, and together they shared many happy years, building a life rooted in love, companionship, and shared joys.

Carrie and her husband were known for truly enjoying life together. She was admired for her keen fashion sense and graceful presence, and she could often be found attending harness racing events alongside her husband, a pastime they both cherished. Carrie lived and worked in Delaware for many years, where she made lasting friendships and became well known in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wiley Rush; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family members and friends.

Carrie will be interred at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware with her husband.

Her favorite scriptures were Psalm 23 and John 14:1-6
