Carrie Wallace Scott, a native of Mobile AL was born to the late Eva Mae Wallace and Jospeh Wallace on September 1, 1952, and peacefully departed this life for eternal rest on February 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, Arnold James Vanshon Scott, brothers, George Jones, David Wallace, Freddie Lee Wallace, Joseph Wallace Jr., Johnnie Wallace, James Wallace and Wiley Wallace, three sisters, Florita Cheese, Maggie V. Nelson and Loretta Smith.
Carrie was a lifelong member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church where she served joyfully and faithfully as member of the choir. Her professional devotion included physical therapy assistant at USA Medical Center for well over 30 years. She also owned and operated a sitting service where she loved providing for her patients. She was a 1971 graduate of Toulminville High School where she participated in the band. She had an angelic voice and sang Shine on Me as only she could. Carrie was an avid shopper and gift giver to those she loved and was an extreme woman of fashion. She loved and adored her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carrie leaves to cherish her devoted daughter LaTasha Wallace Tate, two adored grandchildren Santedra (Henry) Jackson and Terriell (Shanice) Wallace, six wonderful great grandchildren Brooklyn Jackson, Carson Jackson, Chloe Jackson, Terriell Wallace II, Nia'Sanaa Wallace, Neiko-Mekhi Wallace, twin brother Larry (Brenda) Wallace, brother Gregory Wallace, three sisters Mary Bell, Rachel Thomas and Alice Pruitt, one goddaughter Baileigh Lett, devoted niece, Shacovia Howell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
