Litchfield- Carrie Ann Shockley, 47, died on Friday, September 26, 2025, following an extended illness. Her loving family was by her side.

Carrie was born in Brunswick, Maine on June 29, 1978, the daughter of Raymond C. Colby and Bonnie Messer.

Most of Carrie's working career was in the hospitality industry doing housekeeping to working banquets at the Atrium in Brunswick or the Harraseeket in Freeport. In her spare time, she loved to cook and watch Rachel Rae, keeping her own house tidy. She loved doing crossword puzzles, coloring, camping, fishing and just spending time outdoors. She also loved spending time with her animals.

Carrie was predeceased by her mother, Bonnie M. Therrien; and a sister, Mary Lou Messer. She is survived by a daughter, Mackenzie and her husband Tyler Gove of Limestone; a son, Joseph Lee Winship of Freeport; two grandsons, Weston Gove of Limestone and Jaxson Winship of Freeport; father, Raymond C. Colby; a sister, Chyrle Ann and her husband Clarence (Rick) Gowell of Litchfield; two brothers, Raymond Colby Jr and Danny Colby both of Dresden; half-sisters, Lisa Perry of Augusta and Tracy Rowe of Palermo; several nieces and nephews.

At the families request all services will be private. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner, ME. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared with the family on the Staples Funeral Home website www.StaplesFuneralHome.com
