Carrie Middleton Walsh

Carrie Middleton Walsh, 60, of West Hartford, beloved wife of Michael Walsh, died on Monday (September 11, 2023) at White Plains Hospital.

Carrie was born in Bristol on May 28, 1963 and was one of three children of the late Anthony and R. Lucille (Hanson) Middleton. She was raised in Bristol, graduating Bristol Eastern High School in 1981. She graduated from University of Connecticut in 1985 with a degree in Economics, and during her time there joined the Delta Gamma sorority, serving as a Vice President of New Member Education.

Carrie worked as a teller for Bank of Boston during her summers before graduation, and built an incredible career for herself, ending her career as a Vice President at Bank of America after the corporation acquired her prior banks. She met Michael when they were 24 at an intramural softball game. They married after 5 years together, and moved to West Hartford.

Perhaps Carrie's greatest accomplishment was her ability to build and maintain genuine friendships, some spanning over 50 years- you know who you are.

But even more than providing top notch leadership at the Bank for over 35 years, even more than expertly building a schedule fit for a socialite, perhaps her greatest accomplishment was being a mom. Carrie supported her children through countless sports games, dance recitals, award ceremonies, and throughout their college careers. Even as the kids got older, she never shied away from the chance to help whenever she could- she loved to run a good errand. Carrie's love had reach not only extremely far, but exceedingly deep, and that was made clear for everything she provided for her family.

In addition to her husband, Michael, Carrie is survived by her three children: Patrick (29), Stacie (25), and Bridget (22); her mother Luci of Bristol: her brother Dean Middleton and wife, Kathleen of Fairfield, as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is reunited with her sister, Stacey C. Middleton, and father, Tony Middleton.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (September 18, 2023) at 10 am at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 N. Main St. in West Hartford. A private burial will follow. Relatives and friends may call at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford on Sunday (September 17, 2023) between 3 and 7 pm.
