Florence Carroll Jones Bowman, 94 year old Riverside resident, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Blackfoot, Idaho from complications of an accidental fall.

She was born December 25, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Thomas Earl Jones and Juliett "Jette" Knowlton Jones. She grew up in the Moreland area and attended schools there, ultimately graduating from Snake River High School. She continued her studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

Carroll married Monte R. Bowman on July 11, 1951, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They enjoyed a wonderful life together raising their 5 children. After nearly 60 year of marriage, Monte preceded her in death on May 1, 2010.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, mom served faithfully in anything she was asked to do. She loved being a homemaker and attending to the needs of her family which always gave her great joy. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed tending to her gardens and preparing for her family's future needs. She was a very talented seamstress, and loved making clothing for her family. She also enjoyed quilting with the ladies in her community.

She was known for her bright smile and inviting personality. She loved music and enjoyed singing with her sweetheart, Monte, and listening to him play the piano. Mom was a prolific reader until the end of her life. Some of her greatest joys came from attending sporting events and other activities involving her family throughout the years.

Survivors include her children Stan (Teresa) Bowman, Janette Bowman, Mike (Sherri) Bowman, twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren and one one the way.

Carroll was preceeded in death by her husband, Monte, sons, Brent and Layne; siblings, Edward Knowlton Jones, Elizabeth Jones Hammond, Geraldine Jones Wheeler, and Helen Joyce Jones; and parents.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 26, 2025, at Hawker Funeral Home from 5-7 pm. At the Blackfoot Northwest stake center (100 N 740 W), There will be a family and friends viewing on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10 am, one hour prior to the funeral service which will begin at 11 am.

Interment will follow at the Riverside -Thomas Cemetery.
