Carroll W. Brasure

Carroll W. Brasure, age 76, of Selbyville, DE died Friday, December 13, 2024, at home. He was born in Williamsville, DE, and was the son of the late James Brasure and Cecil Vance (Hudson) Brasure Cooke Morris.
He graduated in 1966 from Selbyville High School and married his high school sweetheart whom he met in 8th grade. Carroll was the owner, CEO, and President of Brasure's Pest Control Inc. which he started in April 1971, beginning with one employee (himself) to over 75 employees today. It is the largest independent pest control company on the eastern shore, He was one of the 1st companies to use the pest control software "Pest Pac". He was co-owner of TCBY for 4 years in Bethany Beach, and co-founder of Brasure's Carpet Care, which in 1983 sold his share to his nephew David Brasure. He loved antique hot rods, the beach, and his large Koi- pond with some fish being over 30 years old. Carroll was a member of Sound United Methodist Church, a committee member of Sound Church Campground, board of directors, and multiple other church committees. He was a member of the Delaware Pest Control Association, as well as on the board of directors for over 25 years. Bethany- Fenwick Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors of Arrington Woods, and a former member of the Selbyville Lions Club. He worked with the University of Delaware in a testing trial with electric Mini Coopers. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane Brasure, two children, Tami Brasure Collins and husband Chris of Selbyville, DE and Christopher Brasure and wife Donielle of Roxana, DE; one brother, Wade Brasure of Selbyville, DE; four grandchildren, Caleb Collins, Hannah Brasure, Jacob Brasure, and Sarah Brasure; many nephews, niece and lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, William Brasure, Larry Brasure, and James Brasure.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Sound United Methodist Church, 37894 Sound Church Road in Selbyville. The entombment will be in the Granite Memorial Mausoleum in Bishopville, MD.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, 19 South Main St. in Selbyville, and on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Sound United Methodist Church.
