Carroll Dean Turner

Carroll Dean Turner (80), known as Dean, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL. Dean was born in Tampa, Florida on June 11, 1945, son to the late Clifford Lee & Vaneeta Mims Turner. He worked for many years in various sales positions and traveled many places for his work within the U.S. until he retired in 2009. He was a handy man and was always able to fix or build anything. He enjoyed the beach, spending time with his well loved cat and riding his bike. Dean is survived by his wife: Stella Turner; 4 children: Michael Turner (Maile), Keith Turner, Virginia Holton (Billy) and Deana Powell (Jordan); 8 Grandchildren: Evan, Ethan, Preston, Brooke, Tyler, Haley, Levi, and Rori; extended family, neighbors and friends. He is proceeded in his death by his brother Roy and sister Carolyn. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on July 11, 2025 at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C), with Reverend James Ayers officiating. His family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
