Carroll H. Walker, 75, passed away on Tues. Aug. 19, 2025, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. Aug. 22, 2025 from 11:30am-12:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Fri. Aug. 22, 2025 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services are 3:30pm on Fri. Aug. 22, 2025 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, MS.
Carroll was born on March 24, 1950, in Clem, MS to the late Hubert Walker and Inez Evans Walker. He began his career as a patrolman with the Jackson Police Department in 1973, and then as a Detective, retiring, after 20 years of service, in 1993.
Carroll also served in the Army. He was a Drug Demand Reduction Agent for the Army National Guard. He enjoyed speaking with students across the state of Mississippi about the dangers of drugs. He retired as a Sergeant First Class.
Carroll loved attending athletic events for his grandsons. He was also an avid golfer, and a member of the Patrick Farms golf community. He was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Walker; son, Mike Walker (Stephanie); daughter, Kim Miller (Marty); sister, Debbie Dill and three grandchildren, Austin Walker (Natalie), Blake Walker and Samuel Miller.
