Carter Allen Bowers

Carter Allen Bowers was born to the late Henry and Novie Bowers, a carpenter and homemaker, in Decatur, AL, on March 19th, 1937. He graduated from Austin High School and attended college in Athens, AL, studying accounting and business administration. He was inducted into the armed forces on February 23, 1961. Allen held various professional positions in the business community during his life, also serving on boards for his church and civic organizations. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Allen went home to his Lord and Savior on July 23rd, 2022 at Piedmont Hospital in Cartersville, GA.

Allen is survived by his wife, Gail Bowers; a daughter Margie (Rob) Jacobs; two stepdaughters, Linda Dietz and Cindy (Russ) Fey; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one niece. Allen is preceded by a son, Jeremy Bowers, two sisters, one brother, and his parents.
