CARTER R. CAUL
Age 55, of Frankfort passed away Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 at his home after battling a lengthy illness.
Carter is survived by his loving family, wife, Colleen Caul (Shanahan), daughters, Maggie Caul, Mary Kate Caul, mother, Mary Caul (Johnson), brother, Casey (Jeanette) Caul, father and mother in-law, Terrence (Mary Kathleen) Shanahan, sister and brothers in law, Kerry (Mike) Murphy, Dan (Heather) Shanahan, Jack (Maria Ditchen) Shanahan and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Carter was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Richard (Connie) Caul.
Carter was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Lenox where he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a graduate of Western Illinois University and a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Carter was previously employed by State Farm Insurance Company for 26 years before forming his own construction restoration business.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, May 23rd. 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Friday, May 24th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451. Interment, Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org would be greatly appreciated.
