Cary "Corky" Pietschman, age 83, passed away peacefully April 24, 2024 in his home, under the loving care of his daughters.

One of five boys, Corky was born June 4, 1941 to Donald and Lucille Pietschman.  Waukegan, where he was born, would be his lifelong hometown; when he met his bride Patricia, they built their 53-year marriage and raised their family there.  Corky was a dedicated man; in addition to more than half a century as a doting husband, he was a devoted father, and providing for his family boasted 41 years of perfect attendance in tool and die setting.  At home, he kept a garden, maintained a truck from new to vintage for forty-four years, and built beautiful, mansion-like homes for flocks of songbirds.  When he did find time to kick up his feet, it was for a Bears game or enjoying a NASCAR race with his wife.

Cary is survived by his two loving daughters, Denise (Erik) Ruotsi and Diane (James Donaldson) Pietschman; four dear grandchildren Vanessa Reinoehl, Aria Truninger, Kelsey Pietschman, and Sydney Ruotsi; and three beautiful great-grandchildren, Lenox, Elijah, and Blake.

In addition to his parents, Corky goes to join his beloved Pat; his son, Karry Pietschman, Jr.; and all four of his brothers, Mike, Max, Don, and John Pietschman.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 North Cemetery Rd., Gurnee from 4-8pm. Funeral Services will be held the next morning, Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 10am.  Interment will be private.
