Casey Devitt Obituary
Casey was a respected judge (AQHA, APHA, NSBA, and WCHA) who officiated at many of the nation's premier horse shows, including the AQHA Open and Amateur World Championship Show, the AQHA Select Amateur World Championship Show, the NSBA World Championship Show, the APHA World Championship Show and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.
Beyond judging, Casey served the industry as a Show Steward, Show Manager, Show Monitor, Mentor and Trainer. He assisted in managing some of the largest horse shows in the world, including the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, the Arizona Sun Circuit and the Dixie National. His leadership and professionalism were widely recognized, and he was named the 2016 Don Burt Professional's Horseman of the Year.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Chad Devitt (Lauren) Harrodsburg, KY and Justin Devitt (Carrie) San Diego, CA; his sisters, Heidi Geddes and Julie Goforth; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, Andrew, Jackson, Avery, and Camden as well as two great granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his son, Cody Dallas Devitt.
Casey loved the Lord and his family, and we are comforted in knowing that he is rejoicing in Heaven now. Rest in Peace, Casey, we love you and you will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with a reception to follow. Pastor Greg Warren will be officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Clark, Bob Kail, Dennis Palmer, Kyle Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Steve Petrey. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.

I had much respect for Casey and April. I am deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden passing. He was such a kind and caring man. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed. I´m grateful my memories of him were always happy ones. May God comfort and hold his loved ones close. May God give you eternal peace Casey.
