William Dixon Mills

William Dixon Mills, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. He was born in Louisville on January 1, 1944 to the late William and Nellie Rice Mills. William was a retired Iron Worker with Local Union 70 in Louisville. He was also a constable in Franklin County for 28 years. He loved building things and playing chess.

He is survived by his daughter, Marsha Sue Kemp; his son, William David Mills Jr.; his grandson, Aaron Cdebaca; and his significant other, Wanda Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Perkins and Patricia Florian; and his brother, Joseph Florian.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Pastor Tim Jumpp officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will include David Mills, Aaron Cdebaca, Steven Perkins, Billy Perkins Jr., Robert Lewis, and Richard Sandifer. Melvin Clark will serve as an honorary casketbearer. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
