Robert Franklin Mudd, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on August 31, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Betty Carroll Jones Mudd.

A devoted family man, Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Glee Mudd; his daughter, Lisa Mayfield (Jason); four adoring grandchildren, Kevin, Taylor, Ashley, and Kendall; and four great-grandchildren, Greyson, Adilynn, Anakin, and Kashton. He is also mourned by his three siblings, Tammy Searcy, Gary Mudd, and Steve Mudd, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to hold his memory dear. Robert exemplified dedication, both in his family life and career.

He served six honorable years in the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as an airplane mechanic, instilling a sense of pride and discipline that would follow him throughout his life. Following his military service, he became a fire alarm technician for Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, formerly Modern Systems, contributing to the safety of countless lives through his expertise and commitment.

Outside of work, Robert had a vibrant personality and an undying love for his pets. He found joy in playing Dungeons & Dragons, a longtime hobby that brought him and his friends together for many memorable adventures. Above all, Robert's true passion was his family. He relished spending time with them, creating memories that will last forever in their hearts.

Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate Robert's life during a visitation from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing.
