It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Cassidy "Cass" Matthew Hargette, 41, who left us on July 19, 2025. Born on March 22, 1984, in Tampa, Florida, Cassidy spent his early years surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, eventually making his home in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Cass was employed with Clean Cuts, Gastonia, as a sales manager. He loved disc golf and was an avid jet skier, aka "River Rat". He enjoyed doing things with his daughters.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Saige Winburn, Olivia Hargette, and Maddison Hargette; brother, Corey Hargette (Stacie); niece, Carlie Hargette; nephew, Bryson Hargette; former spouse, Jennifer Jones Hargette; and many friends who were like family to him. Cass had a way of making everyone around him feel special, and his zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held in Cassidy's honor at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on July 26, 2025, 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories and celebrate his life.
Cassidy's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Cassidy was preceded in death by his parents, John Hargette and Marsha Hargette; brother John Hargette; and best friend, Jamie Queen.
