Cassie (Oglesbee) Bloomfield, 49, of Wakeman, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born on February 11, 1976 in Port Clinton, Ohio to David and Annette (Sutherland) Oglesbee.
Cassie graduated from Port Clinton High School and University of Phoenix where she received her Bachelor's degree in Medical Administration. She was employed as a Welder at Autokiniton for 3 years, and enjoyed being a welder. In her spare time, she loved animals and caring for many on her farm. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Cassie is survived by her partner Ronnie Hammock, her sons; David Mason (Nikki) Bloomfield of Kent, Evan Bloomfield of Wakeman, OH, sisters; Meka Oglesbee-Radloff. Davan (Joe Harder) Oglesbee, Grandfather; James Sutherland and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers; Sue Sutherland and Rushie Oglesbee.
There are two poems that gave Cassie courage during her illness, so we have attached two excepts from each.
When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand, He said my place was ready, in heaven far above and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But when I walked through heaven's gates I felt so much at home when God looked down and said "welcome home, my child." So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.
By David M. Romano
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not for long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that once we shared; miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It's all part of the master plan
a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do. Miss me, but let me go.
